This volume consists of forty advanced studies for Cello by talented German composer, Justus Johann Friedrich Dotzauer. Though he wrote many successful symphonies and concertos, it was as a teacher that he found most success and his most enduring work is his 180 Studies for Cello, Violoncellschules, which are still used today. This set is from the latter part of his studies and are suitable for advanced players, or as exercises for skilled cellists.
