A key component of any successful jazz ensemble is a strong sense of rhythm. For this, musicians must not only be able to execute rhythmic figures properly, but must also be able to play appropriate stylistic articulations. This exciting set of full-group exercises featuring swing, rock and Latin rhythms is organized in a series of four-bar phrases for each style, and comes with a score and enough parts for big bands with standard personnel. An added bonus is that one phrase in each style section is designed for improvisation practice, making this material ideal for daily warm-us.
