This chart for better groups is as funky as it gets! A brief introduction gets right into it with a line featuring baritone sax and the trombones, followed by hot horn licks from the ensemble. The improvised solo space is for alto sax and/or guitar, followed by a change in character a la mariachi while the rhythm section keeps on laying down the funk. Near the end, the drummer gets the funk on with a solo followed by piano statements. Then it just clogs right on home!
