Praised by Mozart, the Czech composer Josef Myslivecek (1737-1781) enjoyed enormous success in Germany and Italy, where he was known as 'the divine Bohemian'. These bright and tuneful divertimentos have the characteristic grace and elegance of music from the Classical era.
