Hans Sitt was a Bohemian violinist, violist, teacher, and composer. He was regarded as one of the foremost teachers of violin during his lifetime.
Carl Fischer publishes three volumes of the Sitt 100 Studies:
- Book 1: Twenty Studies in the First Position (1-20)
- Book 2: Twenty Studies in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th positions (21-40)
- Book 3: Twenty Studies, Changing Positions (41-60)
