Many of Viotti's works have a lyrical tunefulness, with the violin featuring most prominently. His most notable compositions are his 29 violin concertos which were reported to have had an influence on Beethoven.
Violin Concerto No. 22 remains his most performed work. In this edition, published by IMC, cadenenzas have been added by Joseph Joachim and Eugene Ysaye.
