Wonderworld was commissioned by Petri Junna and Minna Kajander as one of five works premiered at the 2014 Ruskatrööttä festival (a wind band festival held in Lieksa, Finland). In Wonderworld, the band enters into a mysterious and colorful world of circuses and fairgrounds. However, life is not just “bread and circuses;” in the middle of the piece there is time for the darker sides of life. (4:45)
