The wyvern is a mythical beast with a dragon’s head and wings, a reptilian body, and a pointed tail. Composer Andrew Boysen Jr. weaves two musical ideas together, one aggressive, the other folk-like, to tell the tale of this mythical beast. These two ideas alternate throughout the work, eventually building to an intense and dramatic finish.
